The Assaulter Belt System consists of three parts: an inner belt, a protective sheath, and the outer belt. Built for performance first, the function begets the form, and for 2022, a limited run of MAS Grey Assaulter Belts will be available to the public. So when GBRS Group started working with LBT in the production of their belts, given their history, they had the perfect opportunity to make a special edition of their Assaulter Belt that gives a nod to the past while outfitting the future. Although initially fielded for maritime operations, Navy SEALs eventually started using it in nighttime operations as well. MAS Grey blends into a broad swath of both natural and man-made environments by contrasting very little with much of the spectrum. London Bridge Trading introduced MAS Grey in 2009, after the Captian Phillips rescue mission with the objective of producing gear in a color that blends into the maritime environments where VBSS (Vessel Boarding Search and Seizure) and OTB (Over the Beach) operations take place. Indicative of the types of missions that modern special operators have engaged with over the last 20 years of war, veterans and those still active continue to apply their knowledge and experience in the form of new gear. War belts/battle belts have followed a trajectory over the last decade, getting lighter, and reducing their profile through new materials and loadouts. It probably didn't do well with the sparks. The GBRS Group Assaulter Belt takes a format common in competition shooting circles, and with the use of Tegris, produces in a lightweight but structurally sound platform. It's a sage color that is too light for MAS grey. Roger that, but that still isn't MAS grey. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt he was referring to the grey jack in the last picture. Your search abilities are severely lacking. Your other mistakes have already been pointed out. I am very satisfied with both the color and craftsmanship of this vest. I can however, guarantee this vest is too large if you are a 5'8", 125 lbs and female. Note: there are currently no plates installed. If you are smaller than me, I would suggest trying on both a L and a M before buying, although I have heard the sizing only pertains to plate sizing. This vest does fit perfectly with my soft armor underneath. Now I will be wearing this in conjunction with a soft armor vest under the PC. Today was overcast and I thought MAS would perform best in this color range. Some have said new MAS has went away from the greenish tint it used to be to become a darker, more smokey color. Here is a comparison of natural river stone, concrete, and dirt. I tried including many different backdrops, in an attempt to get the most accurate depiction of the color. Outside is dirty, and even in the city, new pavement quickly browns and loses its blue-ish tint. MAS has a gray tint, but green is still very prevalent, which is good, as I found wolf gray and UDE to be almost too cool. This is the Appalachian region of Tennessee, and MAS surprisingly blended very well overall. Next I took the PC outside and took a few shots. I chose a few common items to compare the MAS grey with. I grabbed a hat I had thats ranger green (one of the many variations) and it quickly quelled my concern. This vest was a lot warmer in color than I anticipated. Upon receiving the plate carrier I initially thought there was a mistake, and I was shipped Ranger Green by mistake. I will not be doing a review because there are dozens of reviews on the 6094 out there, and ALL of speak highly of this rig. What this thread is designed to do is give you a few photos concerning the current production color MAS Grey by LBT, as well as answer a few sizing questions regarding the 6094a vs the 6094b. I also chose the color because I like it. With that said, I will be wearing this in an urban environment. I know it is not multicam, and doesn't necessarily blend as well as MC. Pretty cool if you ask me.Īfter seeing MAS, I decided it was a great choice for my environment, as it blends well with nearly everything around. View Quote LBT stopped producing MAS a few years ago and recently began their section called "Doug's Trench" which I suppose is going to be a section of Rare/ Throwback/ Limited Run color and camouflage patterns. ![]()
